Career

John Scribner’s practice focuses on complex antitrust matters, emphasizing mergers. He obtained antitrust clearance for numerous complex transactions including Apple/CPTN, Apple/Nortel, the sale of the New York Mercantile Exchange to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and ALFA SAB's acquisition of Teksid Aluminum. He has also represented clients in antitrust litigations involving claims of monopolization, tying, conspiracy and bad faith patent enforcement. Clients include Johnson and Johnson, Applera Corporation and Michael Foods, Inc. Before entering private practice, he spent five years as a litigation attorney with the Federal Trade Commission involved in merger and non-merger investigations involving various industries.
