Huw Rolant Jones is the employment lead on many significant public sector mandates and recently advised the BBC on gender pay regulations obligations and on an equal pay review and audit following the recent disclosure of pay information by the broadcaster. Headed by the 'experienced, intelligent and pragmatic' Peter Jones, the Cardiff office also houses the firm's market-leading public inquiries team. Recognised as 'one of the top law firms in the area', the team 'knows the public inquiry arena inside out' having acted on many of the highest-profile matters in the market including its current representation of Cadent Gas in the Grenfell Tower public inquiry. 'Impressive' senior associate Angharad Shurmer is also noted for her public inquiries expertise and is involved in the Grenfell Tower matter alongside Jones. Within: Commercial litigation

Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP ‘s two-partner team provides a ‘responsive and commercial' service to private and public sector clients across a range of litigation including in relation to niche areas such as public procurement litigation, fitness to practice and public inquiry work. In addition to handling general commercial litigation work,  Peter Jones  leads the firm's national Inquiries and Investigations group and is recognised as 'probably having the greatest experience of working in public inquiries of any solicitor currently in practice'. As well as continuing to lead a team of lawyers acting as Solicitors to the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry, Jones is also currently representing Cadent Gas as an interested party in the high-profile Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry. Senior associate Angharad Shurmer 'displays impressive knowledge of the cases in which she is involved in' and works alongside Jones on the public inquiries handled by the firm. Richard Pitt  leads the national transport group within the commercial litigation practice and is also well-regarded in the market for handling public procurement disputes. Pitt is representing Wrexham Glyndwr University in the defence of judicial review proceedings brought by numerous foreign students following the withdrawal of the University’s sponsorship from international students, who had either failed to pay their tuition fees or whose entrance to the University may have been linked to a fraudulently obtained English qualification. Senior associate Trish D’Souza is regularly involved in education-related disputes and assisted Pitt on the aforementioned matter. Principal associate Luisa Gibbons handles a range of general commercial litigation, as well as public inquiries and  professional discipline work.
