Paul is Head of the UK Real Estate dispute resolution team, specialising in a wide range of real estate litigation. His particular expertise is in dealing with complex property disputes which arise primarily from either commercial or residential property development or from the landlord and tenant relationship. 

Paul is experienced in handling cases resolved through a full range of different dispute resolution methods including the High Court, arbitration, expert determination, mediation, the Lands Tribunal, and the Land Registry Adjudication. He has a particular interest in the retail sector, having acted for a large number of corporate occupiers and high street retailers.

Recognised as a leading individual in his field by the legal directories, which describe him as "pleasant to deal with and good at finding a solution" and as "the friendly and outward-looking face of the practice."

Paul Moorcroft, who heads the firm’s national practice in this space from the Birmingham office, is ‘an affable solicitor who provides straightforward and clear real estate litigation advice’. He represents public bodies and private sector clients alike on matters including service charge disputes. Principal associate Arren Thornton advised United Utilities Water on a rating appeal of its entire network, securing a refund of £7m.
