Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP's reputation as a market-leader for midmarket transactions is reflected in its (frequently repeat) work for more than 20 private equity houses, as well as its advice to management teams, shareholders and corporates. It is one of the most active firms in the market for UK mid-cap transactions. In addition, the firm’s far-reaching presence outside of the UK - in the US and further afield internationally - adds another dimension to the practice in cross-border matters. Led by Richard Moulton, the UK team offers extensive coverage of all deal types across 11 sector groups. In a key deal in the aviation and aerospace industry, in 2017, Robin Skelton and newly promoted partner David Milne acted for Baird Capital in the acquisition of CAV Advanced Technologies Limited and CAV Ice Protection Limited.  In another matter, Catherine Eley advised Epiris LLP and the management shareholders of Treetops Nurseries on the sale of the business to Busy Bees.  Other key figures are Louise Finnie and senior associate Alex McCarney, who both recently assisted Spanish gym company Viva with acquiring Portugese gym business Fitness Hut. Mark Beardmore, who has more than 20 years of experience of private equity transactions, acts for clients such as Livingbridge, Bridgepoint Development Capital and CBPE Capital Partners. James Trevis is also recommended.
