Steven is a partner in our corporate group. He specialises in M&A, listed company transactions and private equity and has a broad range of experience acting for corporate clients on domestic and international transactions.

Steven has enjoyed a varied range of transactional work in the recent past. His equity capital markets transactions include a £65million placing and open offer for Hampson Industries plc to fund the £235million acquisitions of Odyssey Inc and GTS Inc, the £65million flotation of Abbey Protection plc, equity issues for the Islamic Bank of Britain plc raising £30million and acting for management on the £1billion Official List flotation of AZ Electronic Materials.

Steven's recent M&A experience includes acting for Patterson Medical Inc. on its £31million acquisition of Days Healthcare and associated businesses across five jurisdictions, disposing of Fulcrum Connections Limited for National Grid plc, acting for ISIS and selling shareholders on the £200 million disposal of Wiggle Limited and acting for Carlyle Private Equity on its £21million acquisition of the Fairfield Partnership.

Steven is client relationship manager for $3billion turnover Patterson Medical and has recently taken part in a series of presentations to public companies in association with the Quoted Companies Alliance.

Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP's team has an excellent reputation acting for both issuers and NOMADs, and it is prominent in large, high-profile AIM and Main Market IPOs, secondary offerings and various other transactions. In 2017, Daniel Hall, Nicola Brookes and senior associate Annika Unsworth acted for Footasylum Plc in its £170m AIM flotation and £40m placing. They also assisted Zeus Capital (as NOMAD and broker) with the £190m AIM IPO of Strix Group Plc. Sebastian Orton and Chris Halliday more recently acted as the lead advisers to OnTheMarket Plc on its proposed £100m AIM IPO. Beyond IPO work, another highlight saw practice head Stephen Nash and legal director Mark Roe advise Investec on a secondary fundraising associated with Conviviality Plc's acquisition of the Central Convenience retail business. The firm also acts for UK investment trusts and Channel Islands-based registered investment companies. Other members of the team include Simon Masters, Alistair Cree, Steven Hacking and Alison Starr.
