Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP provides 'strong support in the specialist area of procurement and real estate', according to one client. In recent highlights, CGN Europe - a subsidiary of a Chinese state-owned utility - instructed a team led by Jason Lovell to oversee its acquisition of onshore wind assets in Ireland, and the group is currently leading the advice to National Grid on a complex business separation and subsequent sale proceedings. Cardiff-based  Iwan Walters assisted EDF with the disposal of five onshore wind assets to Greencoat UK Wind, and Birmingham's David Jones is currently intervening in the EPC contract negotiation ownership, EPC and cabling arrangements with regards to a major interconnector project between the UK and mainland Europe. The team's construction and engineering arm was recently bolstered by the arrival of Richard Streeter from CMS and the corporate offering benefited from James Vernon 's hire from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. Michelle T Davies heads the firm's clean energy practice and co-heads the team with Robert Pitcher who spearheads the international infrastructure and energy outfit.
