Brexit and the legal implications for businesses

Craig Rogers advises on complex, cross-border IT and outsourcing arrangements. He has led significant transactions across all sectors but has a particular focus on regulated utilities and financial services.

Craig joined Eversheds in 2015 after 12 years in-house at IT giants IBM & Oracle and Indian Outsourcing outfit, TCS.

In his last role, Craig was the lead lawyer for IBM’s financial services business in Europe.

Craig has managed large teams on complex, global transactions with retail and investment banks, insurance companies, central government departments, regulated utilities, large retailers, multi-national oil companies and major consumer goods brands.

His practice covers:

• IT and Business Process Outsourcing

• the design/build/operation of IT platforms (particularly in the banking and insurance sector)

• complex systems implementations (including Oracle and SAP)

• Strategic Alliances

• Cloud / SaaS / PaaS agreements

• IT Security & PCI/DSS

• SYSC/Solvency II compliance in outsourcing

His clients comment that he is “commercial and pragmatic”, “a problem-solver”, “has an excellent understanding of both technology and business issues” and is “easy to work with”.

Craig is a regular speaker on IT & Outsourcing and is a member of The Society for Computers and Law.

The importance of websites and digital content for Asset Managers - Legal & Compliance Considerations

The Digital World is an every-changing beast and many companies – the asset management industry included – are under scrutiny to develop their websites and digital content for their audiences. However, this is not typically an area where asset managers are considered as world leaders. Some might say that the industry’s foray into the digital world has been hindered by regulation, others might say that issues around transparency, general unwillingness to engage and a lack of foresight are bigger issues.
