He undertakes a wide range of commercial disputes for the firm's business clients including Exel/DHL, McCain, Premier Foods and Royal Mail. 

Gary also leads the central government team for our litigation practice group and is client partner for DEFRA and the Treasury Solicitor.

He has been lead partner in a number of major public inquiries including Bloody Sunday, Harold Shipman and Rosemary Nelson.

The 'excellent' Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP assists clients on a blend of commercial, litigation and public law issues spanning governance, regeneration and  procurement as well as investigations and inquiries. It serves clients such as Transport for Greater Manchester, the Serious Fraud Office and Borders to Coast Pension Partnership. In the Grenfell Tower public inquiry, it is representing Cadent Gas which had been the gas distributor to the tower. Peter Jones  is reported to be 'a fantastic and experienced inquiry solicitor, who excels at running a team.' Paul Pugh is the corporate lead on public sector matters and is also the relationship partner to the UK Government’s new general legal services panel. Gary Pellow and Richard Matthews lead Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP’s ‘organised, friendly and approachable’ practice, which also fields TMT dispute specialist James Hyde, energy litigator Mark Howarth, principal associate Deborah Polden, who ‘works to get the best results for clients’; and senior associate Ed Williams, who specialises in IT disputes and public procurement challenges. Recent highlights for Hyde include representing the Canal & River Trust in the Court of Appeal in a case regarding the price to be paid by Thames Water for water abstracted from a waterway owned by the trust. The practice also acted for an automotive part manufacturer in claim in the High Court arising from a fatality on a French motorway, and defended a Middle Eastern oil company in an arbitration relating to the sale of gas under a long-term gas sales agreement. Other mandates include acting for Theakston Estates in a limited liability partnership dispute and representing a Middle Eastern state in an arbitration regarding contracted trade. Vodafone, Specsavers, DHL and EDF are also clients.
