Contracts with teeth - the future of outsourcing

Ed has recently co-authored the thought leadership report "Delivering contracts with teeth" - the future of outsourcing. This report was produced from the results of a prior survey, conducted with the National Outsourcing Association, looking at which contractual provisions in outsourcing agreements are actually being used by customers at the coalface, to ensure that their suppliers perform.

Illustrative of the firm's strengths in cross-border matters, in 2017, Alison Brearey, and senior associates Kate Mowbray and Edward Tompkin advised Aviva on outsourcing its global real estate management portfolio to CBRE; this deal involved 20 jurisdictions worldwide. On the supplier side, Tom Bridgford, Simon Gamlin and associate Kate Moore recently acted for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in the successful negotiation of a new five-year outsourcing agreement with the Lloyds Market Association and International Underwriting Association of London to provide back-office processing of insurance premiums and claims, and related activities. Another key client is Hammerson, for whom the firm advises on the management of its retail portfolio; Kelly Holmes recently led a team, which assisted the client with the re-tender of cleaning services for its portfolio of UK shopping centres. Richard Prowse is the head of the UK team.
