Position

Jeffrey R. Gleit is a partner and co-leader of the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group in the New York office. His practice consists of representing debtors, hedge funds, private equity funds, financial institutions and trade creditors in restructuring distressed companies. Jeff works with clients in a variety of industries, including financial, energy, automotive, retail, telecommunications and manufacturing. Jeff regularly advises boards of directors in distressed situations. In addition, he provides counsel to parties to credit default swap transactions. Jeff was named a New York Super Lawyer for the years 2013-2017 as well as a "Rising Star" in 2011 and 2012. He was also recognized by Law360 as a "Rising Star" in 2014, and was selected by Turnarounds & Workouts as an "Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer" in 2012.

In ongoing work, Jeffrey Gleit is representing a technology hardware company in connection with the recovery of over $110m of avoidable transfers to multiple parties in around 300 separate actions.
