EU competition and EU regulatory.
Position
Partner focusing on EU competition and regulatory law. Ms Nordlander has particular experience in competition and regulatory issues affecting the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as State aid and environmental law. Ms Nordlander has extensive experience advising clients on the full range of EU competition issues, including joint ventures and co-operation agreements, merger control proceedings, cartel investigations, litigation before the European Courts, and antitrust compliance. Ms Nordlander also has experience on a wide range of EU regulatory issues, with an emphasis on chemical regulation, including REACH compliance and classification and labelling under the EU Dangerous Substances Directive. In addition to chemicals and pharmaceuticals, Ms Nordlander has advised clients in a wide variety of other industries and business sectors, in particular mining and minerals, media and broadcasting, agrochemicals, motor vehicles, consumer electronics, and biotechnology.
Career
Qualified 1996; prior to joining Sidley Austin LLP, Ms Nordlander served as an attorney at the Brussels office of another international law firm. She teaches and speaks widely on topics such as legal privilege, State aid, EU antitrust policy and procedure, and EU chemicals regulation. Partner at Sidley Austin LLP 2008.
