Seyfarth Shaw LLP defends clients in both securities litigation and SEC investigations, and climbs the ranking this year. Among those clients are investment banks and both large and mid-sized corporates in sectors such as technology, biotech, hospitality and financial services. Its deep bench of securities litigators works from Boston, New York, Washington DC and California. The firm recently hired Steven Paradise from Richards Kibbe & Orbe LLP to work alongside key partner Gregory Markel in New York. Markel and up-and-coming partner Giovanna Ferrari in San Francisco are representing individual officers of a bank in 10b5 class actions alleging that they made material misrepresentations and omissions concerning the prospects for a bankrupt e-commerce and t-commerce company. Also recommended are Boston-based partners William Prickett and Christopher Robertson.
