Fausto is a partner and head of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group, focused on Civil Law, Law of Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law and Arbitration. Vast experience in developing procedural strategies and litigating judicial, arbitration and constitutional proceedings. Member of the Peruvian team in the defense of the Republic of Peru in an important case brought before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Development of the procedural strategy for Minera Yanacocha SRL in the first plenary session hearing a cassation case in Peruvian history, called by the Peruvian Supreme Court. Member of the Commission for reforming the Code of Civil Procedure (1987–1990), and the Commission for reforming the Organic Law of the Judiciary (1987–1990). Civil Judge in and for Lima (1974–1979), General Clerk (1971–1974) and Court Reporter (1969–1971) of the Supreme Court of Justice of Peru. Professor of General Theory of the Proceeding in the Law School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru from 1978 to date.
