Position

Nicole Runyan is a partner and member of the Registered Funds team. Nicole covers fund, independent board member, and significant adviser representations. She advises clients on statutory and regulatory matters encompassing fund formation and operation under various federal securities laws. Nicole counsels clients on transactional and regulatory matters. She works with clients on alternative product development, fund marketing and distribution arrangements, development of compliance programs, and internal and third-party fund mergers, liquidations and other restructurings. Nicole regularly counsels clients regarding regulatory issues arising from various alternative investment strategies. Nicole advises various asset managers on forming and operating U.S. advisory businesses.

Stuart Coleman leads Proskauer Rose LLP’s New York-based team, which has been kept busy handling, among other matters, manager M&A deals and closed-end fund matters. Coleman, Janna Manes and David Stephens continue to advise Dreyfus on regulatory, formation and restructuring matters, and recently assisted the client with forming five open-ended funds, including Dreyfus Japan Womenomics Fund. Nicole Runyan advised Silverpeak Credit Fund on the formation and IPO of a '40 Act registered closed-end fund investing in equity tranches of collateralized loan obligations (CLO). Gary Granik is also a key name. Other clients include Lazard Funds, Alger Funds and THL Credit Advisors.
