Position

Monica Shilling is a partner in the Corporate Department and co-head of the firm's global Private Equity Group. She advises investment banks and issuers in corporate finance transactions; purchasers, sellers and financial advisors in public and private M&A transactions; and public and private companies on matters of general corporate law and corporate governance, securities law, SEC (including Sarbanes-Oxley) and NYSE/Nasdaq compliance. Monica also represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies, often in a full investment cycle. She also advises companies on the establishment of business development companies (BDCs) and other private and public equity vehicles.

New York highlights include Lopez, Stephen Gruberg and corporate governance specialist Robert Cantone assisting Celgene with its offering of three series of senior unsecured notes totaling $3bn. In Los Angeles, private equity co-head Monica Shilling advised Ares Capital on its $750m notes offering, while Bond assisted Church & Dwight on a $1.4bn notes offering. Among its highlights for its core issuer client base, Los Angeles-based private equity co-head Monica Shilling assisted Carlyle’s business development company, TCG BDC, with its $166m IPO, and she also acted for Floor & Décor on its $192m IPO and $428m secondary offering. In New York, group co-chair Frank Lopez, together with senior counsel Daniel Forman, assisted Leisure Acquisition with its proposed $250m IPO.
