Position
Ian Ferguson’s practice focuses on outsourcing and transactions in the technology and telecoms sectors. He has significant experience of outsourcing transactions, advising both suppliers and customers, across a range of sectors, particularly in the financial services sector. His outsourcing experience includes multi-jurisdictional and offshore transactions. His technology/IT practice includes advising on infrastructure and integration projects; the acquisition and supply of IT systems; and electronic banking. He has also been involved in numerous e-commerce and internet-related projects, including establishing start-ups, setting up an internet bank and regulatory reviews. His telecommunications practice includes advising internationally on strategic investments; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures; privatisations; regulation; and various types of commercial contracts in the sector. He has substantial experience of acting for both governments and investors on telecoms projects and transactions in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia and South America. Mr Ferguson also advises on commercial transactions in many different business sectors, including collaboration arrangements, joint ventures, services agreements, infrastructure projects, private labelling relationships, and supply and distribution contracts. He has particular experience of payments systems and payment card processing arrangements.
