Jonathan D. Morris is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice and co-head of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice. He is also a member of the firm's Private Equity Practice and Energy Transactions Practice, and serves as vice-chairman of the recruiting committee for the New York office and a member of the firm's diversity committee. Mr. Morris' practice focuses on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions. He also advises clients on joint ventures, strategic alliances, private placements, commercial contracts, and general corporate and compliance matters. Mr. Morris has been involved in a wide range of transactions, including those involving both publicly traded and privately held corporations, and has represented both strategic and financial acquirers and targets. Neeraj Arora¬†in Los Angeles advised Cr√©dit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, as administrative agent for a syndication of lenders, on the financing of SWG Finco‚Äôs portfolio of five operating gas-fired electrical generation facilities located in California, Colorado and New Mexico. Richard Filosa, who jointly heads the team with James Tynion¬†in New York, led advice for Ares on the development and financing of the St Joseph Energy Center Phase 2 power project. Further, Wayne Song¬†in Los Angeles advised Coronal Energy on a $235m tax equity financing from US Bankcorp Community Development Corporation¬†and back-leveraged term debt from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, for a combined portfolio of solar facilities on US Department of Defense property.
