Position
Russell is head of the tax practice in the London office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, where he is also ?the managing partner. His practice covers all areas of corporate taxation, both domestic and international. He has developed significant expertise in the financial services and fund sectors where he focuses on international, cross-border M&A and private equity investment structuring, as well as on the development and implementation of new financial cross-border products and investment structures. Recent transaction experience includes: working on some of the largest international LBO transactions (with a particular emphasis on US and European-led private equity investment); inward-bound investment in infrastructure projects (transportation, oil and gas); investment fund structures; tax-efficient partnerships; private equity and public M&A structuring; CDOs, CLOs and securitisation generally; preference share and hybrid instrument issuances; foreign and domestic tax credit utilisation structures; tax-enhanced capital fundraising and investment products; all forms of debt and security-based borrowing and investment structures; and partnerships.
