Position

Hans Germann is a partner in Mayer Brown's Litigation practice. He is also a member of the firm’s telecommunications subgroup. Hans has significant experience in state and federal regulatory, trial and appellate litigation involving telecommunications, regulatory and administrative law, commercial disputes, preemption, jurisdiction and antitrust issues. He also has counseled clients regarding regulatory issues such as matters relating to the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and use of rights-of-way.

Mayer Brown handles regulatory and legislative matters for both telecoms and broadcasting clients, who say that the firm’s ‘depth brings appropriate expertise to bear on all issues intersecting with telecoms practice and policy’. Angela Giancarlo jointly heads the practice and is highly experienced in satellite-, broadband- and digital-related proceedings. She worked with Wells Fargo Securities on legislative and regulatory issues pertaining to the wireless, satellite and cable sectors. Fellow head Howard Waltzman is commended for his ‘depth of knowledge’, ‘analytical skills’ and ‘service quality’. He recently advised the CTIA on regulatory issues.
