Dan Lennon is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and former global Chair of the firm’s Corporate Department. He represents clients in domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and financing transactions. In the energy space, it represented Arclight Capital Partners and Blackstone on their $2.17bn acquisition of four power plants from American Electric Power. Jennifer Perkins and Chicago’s Shaun Hartley are joint heads of the private equity practice; Perkins is described as an ‘excellent M&A lawyer’ who ‘understands and is experienced in the full range of M&A transactions’ and ‘has the demeanor, skills and judgment that not only gets deals done, but makes her a pleasure to work with’. Daniel Lennon in Washington DC jointly leads the firm’s relationship with Carlyle.
