Position
Patrick Doris is a partner in the dispute resolution group of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher’s London office, where he specialises in commercial litigation, competition law, regulatory disputes and complex investigations. His practice covers a wide range of disputes, including contentious antitrust matters, multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation, administrative law challenges against governmental decision-making before the UK and EU courts, bribery and corruption, public international law and commercial human rights law matters. His recent commercial disputes experience has extended to advising corporations, UK public and regulatory bodies, and sovereign states in claims before a range of domestic courts and tribunals in the UK, the General Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Court of Human Rights and international arbitral tribunals. He has particular expertise in the gambling sector, advising gambling operators and their financial services providers on regulatory disputes, antitrust matters, product liability issues, public law challenges and compliance. He was heavily involved in handling the regulatory aspects of the two most prominent corporate transactions of 2010: the IPO of the world’s largest betting exchange, and the merger of two of the world’s largest online gambling operators. Mr Doris also regularly advises clients in the energy, financial services and aviation sectors.
