Mr. Rosh is a corporate partner and head of the Firm’s private equity funds practice group. He represents clients in a broad range of corporate and securities transactions, with a focus on private equity fund formation counseling, investments, acquisitions and secondary transactions; securities and capital markets; and general corporate matters. He has represented major private equity fund sponsors for over 25 years. A partial list of his clients includes Goldman Sachs; HPS (formerly Highbridge); Bain Capital and Bain Capital Credit (formerly Sankaty); Fortress; BlackRock Real Estate; Brookfield Asset Management; JP Morgan Asset Management; Morgan Stanley; AllianceBernstein Real Estate; StepStone; Televisa; and Coach.


Mr. Rosh joined Fried Frank in 1988 and became a partner in 1996. He is a past recipient of the Legal Aid Society's Pro Bono Publico Award and received Law360’s Asset Management MVP award. 


Mr. Rosh is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bar Associations Committee on Private Investment Funds, the New York City Bar Association Private Investment Funds Committee, the Board of Advisors of The Tufts University School of Arts and Sciences and of the Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business. He is also on the executive board of DREAM, a nonprofit youth development and educational program serving over 2,000 youth in East Harlem.

Kenneth Rosh (for many, one of the ‘top fund formation lawyers in the industry’) and ‘rising star’ Gerald Brown advised Bain Capital Private Equity, a cornerstone client, on forming Bain XII, which closed with commitments of $9.4bn. Rosh and Rebecca Neuschatz Zelenka, who is based in Washington DC, also advised Bain Capital Credit on forming a life sciences fund. Richard Ansbacher acts for Permira and Permira Debt Managers, advising them on a €7.5bn buyout fund and a €1.7bn debt fund respectively. Jeremy Berry, who is active for clients such as StepStone Group, joined from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. The team was also bolstered by the recruitment of special counsel Garret Filler and senior counsel John Liftin from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and D E Shaw’s in-house team respectively.
