Position

Kevin is a partner in Cooley’s London office and has a broad range of experience including contentious banking issues, fraud asset tracing, general contract (often with a heavy technical element), construction and civil engineering disputes, and disputes arising out of M&A transactions. He has considerable experience in multijurisdictional litigation and international arbitration, with particular interest in the risk management issues facing corporate clients in relation to how disputes are handled internally.

He is a regular speaker at events aimed at the in-house legal community.

The London litigation team's work is international and frequently multi-jurisdictional, and it covers asset recovery, employment, general commercial disputes, insolvency, insurance and reinsurance, life sciences, product liability, public international law, technology disputes and IP. James Maton heads the UK disputes practice, Laurence Harris  is vice chair of the global litigation department and Rod Freeman is an experienced product litigation lawyer. Also key to the group are Kevin Perry and Mark Deem. Sascha Grimm and Henry Stewart have been promoted to partner.

Cooley (UK) LLP's 'practice group comprises individuals who work strongly together as a team to produce meaningful results'. Its key strengths are international commercial (particularly oil and gas exploration matters) and investment treaty arbitrations, as well as insurance and reinsurance-related arbitrations. James Maton heads the London litigation team, which also includes Mark Everiss, Mark Deem and Laurence Harris, along with David Kendall, Kevin Perry and special counsels Christophe Bondy and Joshua Brien. Henry Stewart was promoted to partner, while James Crabtree left for Keystone Law.
