The recent merger that formed Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP brought together complementary securitisation practices that together have a strong position in the UK RMBS market and in the CLO space. The firm's lawyers are 'extremely knowledgeable in their field, very user-friendly and have an ability to understand practical implications'. Global co-head of structured debt and capital markets Prashanth Satyadeva advises both banks and corporates on covered bonds and securitisation. For BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK as originator and servicer, he handled its debut £600m securitisation of unsecured personal loans. Eleanor Hunwicks is recommended for real estate and public sector transactions. Helena Nathanson is a key partner in the practice and focuses predominantly on corporate trust, loan and agency matters. Headed by Prashanth Satyadeva, the team is a key adviser to Homes England in relation to the housing guarantees programme. Satyadeva also advised TradeRisks as arranger and dealer on a ¬£120m secured bond issuance by Yarlington Treasury Services, which was the client‚Äôs inaugural bond issuance. Further, Eleanor Hunwicks¬†acted for GLA Land and Property in relation to the provision of two loans to accelerate the delivery of about 46 affordable units in the Heart of Harrow housing zone.

Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP is particularly active in social housing funding projects, and carries out a considerable amount of work for Homes England. In one example, practice head Andrew Yates acted for Homes England in relation to the 10,000-home regeneration project with Gallagher Estates. The team also has experience acting for public authorities in housing-led regeneration schemes, which included advising GLA and London Borough of Tower Hamlets on a joint venture with Swan Housing Association for the development of 1,500 homes at the Blackwell Reach regeneration. Prashanth Satyadeva and Eleanor Hunwicks are key figures in the social housing finance practice.
