Elena Trusova is a Partner at Dispute Resolution practice. Elena also heads the Intellectual Property Practice and is a Patent Attorney of the Russian Federation.

Elena specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, IP/IT disputes and consulting, international arbitration, anti-trust disputes, disputes over realty, unfair competition, insolvency and bankruptcy.  

Elena has been playing a leading role in defending high-stakes class action and complex cross-border and domestic dispute resolution. She has vast experience of representing clients in Russian courts at all levels, in litigation of different commercial disputes, in international commercial arbitration (ICAC, SCC, ICC), before state bodies, including the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Rospatent and others. Her experience spans a wide range of industries, where she has acted for claimants, defendants and interested parties in high-profile and complex matters in heavily regulated sectors such as life sciences, telecoms, internet, food & retail, construction and financial services.

In recent highlights, a cross-disciplinary team consisting of Oleg Khokhlov, Elena Trusova and Ivan Veselov are advising the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on restructuring a $30m convertible facility to Prognoz Group through a debt-to-equity swap arrangement, in the process changing the EBRD’s role from a lender to a minority equity investor. Khokhlov acted for Sberbank Investment on a complex restructuring of all external financing provided to the Genser Group.
