Since our foundation, our firm has been praising technical excellence and trust, working side by side with our clients seeking strategic solutions for their business, always in an integrated fashion in the most diverse sectors of the Brazilian economy.

Headquartered in the city of S?o Paulo and for more than twenty (20) years present in New York, the firm is committed to providing high quality corporate law services, with a multidisciplinary approach within the four main areas of law: Corporate, Labor, Tax and Litigation. With a strong business mind and a solid relationship with clients and business partners, in Brazil and abroad, the firm has advised and continues to advise multinational companies from the most diverse economic segments that have established and continue to establish themselves in Brazil.

Our relationship with relevant foreign firms provides a great network of contacts that allows us to assist our clients in other countries, as well as to offer an exchange experience for our professionals abroad.

Founded in 1948 in the city of S?o Paulo, under the leadership of Duarte Vaz Pacheco do Canto e Castro, the firm has since then started to build itself in the market as a reference for Brazilian law. At the time, Brazil had a still incipient industry and the economy was taking its first steps toward internationalization with the arrival of the first multinationals in the country.

With a fast-paced industry development in the 1960s and 1970s, particularly in the pharmaceutical, automotive, infrastructure, machinery and equipment sectors, Brazil reached significant levels of economic growth and a bold group of lawyers consolidated in the market, providing legal support for our customers' business growth.

In the 1990s, renamed Peixoto & Cury Advogados, the firm repositioned itself in the market, with the development of new practice areas, creating unique business opportunities and supporting several of our clients' business growth that have become major corporations over the years with the assistance of the legal services rendered by our firm.

With the fast change of the Brazilian economy, legal support for several business models, widely used today, was the result of our lawyers' creativity. The firm stood side by side with its clients overcoming crises, adapting to change and, in particular, guiding them towards a solid and sustainable market growth.

Jos? Ricardo is the head for the Corporate/M&A practice and is responsible for the main clients of the firm. Rafael Villac is also a key contact and is responsible to directly manage the firm's most complex cases, defining strategic structures to enable a variety of local and international projects.
