Olha Demianiuk is a counsel in Baker McKenzie's Corporate M&A Practice Group and the head of the Firm's Healthcare Industry Group in Kyiv.

Olha advises on private M&A, both cross-border and domestic, and cross-border equity capital market deals in various industries. Olha is an experienced transactional lawyer with more than 13 years of relevant expertise. Olha also advises clients on establishment of joint ventures and corporate restructuring.


Before joining the Kyiv office Baker McKenzie in May 2005, she had a legal internship with Coudert Brothers LLP, an international law firm, in Berlin, Germany.


In addition to her native Ukrainian, Olha is fluent in English, Russian and German.


Olha is the main legal expert of the Association of Pharmaceutical Research and Development (APRaD), uniting the largest world leading pharmaceutical companies active in the research and development.
Olha leads the team of Baker McKenzie lawyers advising Health Care Committee of the European Business Association in Ukraine.
Olha frequently speaks and writes on healthcare issues, including M&A in healthcare, pricing, reimbursement, healthcare reform, biosimilars and other topics.


Olha graduated from the Law Department of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Kyiv in 2003. In 2004 Ms. Demianiuk received LL.M. degree in German law from the European University Viadrina Frankfurt/Oder in Germany.

  • The New Turkish Code of Obligations: Important Changes for Leases of Residential & Business Premises

    For decades, the primary Turkish laws governing leases of residential and business premises have been the Law on Leasing Real Property dated May 27, 1955 (the ‚ÄúLease Law‚ÄĚ) and the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 818 dated April 22, 1926 (the ‚ÄúObligations Code‚ÄĚ). Both of these laws, however, will be repealed and replaced with the new Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098 dated January 11, 2011 (the ‚ÄúNew Obligations Code‚ÄĚ), which will enter into force on July 7, 2012.
