Position

Arseny Seidov is a partner at the Moscow office of Baker & McKenzie. He has extensive experience in general domestic and cross-border tax planning and restructuring.

Career

Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie in February 2003, he worked as a tax and finance lawyer at a Russian audit and law firm. He also had an internship in a major bank in Switzerland and at the Moscow office of a major U.S. law firm.

In addition to his native Russian, Mr. Seidov speaks fluent English and German.

Member

Mr. Seidov is a member of the Russian Branch of the International Fiscal Association and actively participates in tax and customs committee conferences and meetings organized by the American Chamber of Commerce, Russo-British Chamber of Commerce and Association of European Business. Mr. Seidov is also a visiting professor of tax law at MGIMO.

Education

Mr. Seidov graduated from the Moscow State University for International Relations (MGIMO) and received his degree of Bachelor of Law in 2001 and Masters of Law with distinction in 2002. He also holds a Ph.D. degree in law obtained at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in 2004. In 2007 he received his Masters of Law in International Taxation from New York University School of Law. Mr. Seidov was admitted to practice law in Russia in 2001.
