Position
Partner and head of the clinical negligence department specialising in complex secondary brain and spinal cord injury cases but has extensive experience of a wide range of matters including obstetric/midwifery, orthopaedic and surgical cases. Specialises in cases of the utmost severity on behalf of adults and children. Recently obtained awards of £6.4m and £3.5m. Reported cases include A Mitchell v Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust (2006), Anne Theresa Manchester v Morcambe Bay NHS PCT (2008), Pamela Robinson v Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (2009). Growing area of specialism – public law.
