Position

Partner, Kevin, has a portfolio of claims valued up to £10m per claim, acting as a key advisor to Hiscox insurance.  He has particular expertise in risk management and rehabilitation support and is developing a national reputation for his expertise in sports claims.  He also leads on defence group action claims involving abuse and major road traffic accidents, bringing the market together to avoid multi party litigation. 

 

Kevin advises clients on portfolio claims management, insurer operational efficiency, technology and claims handler training. 

Kevin’s particular areas of interest are chronic pain, amputations, brain injury, gross exaggeration and multiple major orthopaedic injury.  He is also familiar with PPOs, 24 hour care and life expectancy type issues.

Strategically, Kevin is one of the firm’s leaders of its commercial insurance casualty practice, and has this year secured a brand new client for the firm (Marble Arch) whilst developing and refining the firms products, innovation, technology, profile and efficiency drives.

Career

Trained Buller Jeffries, Birmingham; qualified 1997; (involved in ground-breaking asbestos litigation and a £100m fire claim); BLM 1998-2000 (developed his first client facing account); Browne Jacobson LLP 2000-date (focused on a significant client account for the firm, handling complex high-value claims, delivering added value services and advising on strategic changes to the firm and client’s businesses). Appointed to client catastrophic injury panel in 2010.
