Partner, Alex, has headed the advertising and marketing team for five years. He has provided advertising and marketing advice at the top level for many of the world’s largest and most loved brands, both on the luxury side of things and the FMCG side.  He is not currently ranked within Chambers but he is ranked everywhere else. 

He regularly provides technical training on advertising and marking, as well as public speaking, for example at London IP week, where he provided an update on Influencers, which has been a huge growth area within that sector and which was further to a Webinar on the same topic earlier this year.

He is described as a “technical expert” by clients within the brands and advertising and marketing sector by the Legal 500 2018, he was “recommended for transactional trade mark work and advertising and marketing deals” by Legal 500 2017 and was most recently referred to as “a brand promotion, advertising and marketing maestro” by TMW 2018.  

In terms of clients he provides advertising and marketing advice to a variety of premium brands and agencies – including, this year alone, the addition of three Influencer Agencies. His practice is an area of real growth, excitement and premium brand activity, and as such he should be recognised as a leading individual.

Alex Watt¬†¬†at Browne Jacobson LLP¬† has extensive experience of advising both artists on the protection of their intellectual property as well as advising galleries on their relationships with artists. Watt has particular expertise in advising artists, galleries and other institutions on ‚Äėstreet art‚Äô or ‚Äėurban art‚Äô and acts for a large number of urban artists and well known writers such as CEPT and SHOK-1. The team acts as the sole counsel for the world-renowned street artist Ben Eine (also known as EINE). Declan Cushley¬† is the key partner for the National Trust. It has variously advised the National Trust on matters such as intellectual property issues regarding the Trust‚Äôs major heritage sites through to the terms and conditions for the hire of National Trust properties as wedding venues.
