Partner and head of the firm’s branding, technology media and innovation practice group; member of corporate and commercial practice group and sports law practice group; tutor at Glasgow Graduate School of Law; adviser to the Scottish Premier League (SPL) for all broadcasting, sponsorship merchandising and IP work, recently advised the SPL in relation to the termination of the live broadcast rights agreement with Setanta Sports, the new live broadcast rights agreement with Sky and ESPN, the overseas rights distribution agreement with Sportfive, the IPTV rights agreement with BT Vision and the broadcast services agreement with Support Act Productions Ltd; currently adviser t the Scottish Government in relation to various commercial and corporate matters; advising Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) in relation to its collaborative initiative with Partnership for owners in relation to windfarm developments in Scotland; adviser to the Highland Council in connection with the Pathfinder North broadband project; adviser to Telecom Service Centres Limited in connection with various outsourcing agreements to the mobile telecommunications and other sectors; and adviser to Optical Express in relation to its trade mark portfolio and other commercial matters.
