New partner for Jersey property team

August 2011

Collas Crill's property law team has been boosted by the recruitment of a new partner in its Jersey office.

Jersey solicitor Martin Le Boutillier has joined the firm from Ogier. He specialises in commercial property, with a particular emphasis on the financing aspects of commercial developments as well as commercial disposals and acquisitions and commercial leases.

He has recently acted on a number of high profile developments in Jersey both for developers and funders, as well as in respect of a number of acquisitions and disposals of prestigious office buildings in the heart of St Helier's financial district.

Collas Crill joint managing partner Kathryn Purkis said: "We are delighted with the appointment of Martin, not only as a welcome addition to our busy property team, but also because of how well known and respected he is in the local market. Of course the appointment also demonstrates our continuing commitment to property law as a core focus of our business."

Before joining Ogier in May 2005, Martin worked at Crills Advocates (now Walkers) in their commercial department. Martin qualified as a Jersey Solicitor in 2003.

Martin said: "Collas Crill's determination to move forward while continuing to serve the needs of the islands' communities makes it an exciting firm to be a part of and I hope to contribute to the firm's continuing success."

Martin is married with two children. In his spare time he enjoys hockey, skiing and diving.
