Position
Nicholas has a combined corporate and finance practice. He acted on the AIM listings of Nature Group plc, Camco International Ltd, EAG Ltd, China Eastsea Business Software Ltd and Bellzone Mining plc, as well as for former AIM-listed Rambler Media Limited on the scheme of arrangement by which the minority interest was acquired. He acted for Barclays on its acquisition of Walbrook Trust Company, one of the largest Channel Islands independent trust companies. He has also acted for international banks on billion-pound Jersey-property finance structures and related securitisations, and has undertaken other complex-structured finance and equity derivative work. His practice extends into restructuring and insolvency.
Career
Qualified as an English solicitor (1984); worked for City law firm Watson, Farley & Williams in London and then Paris before moving to Jersey 1994; admitted as Jersey solicitor (1997); joined Carey Olsen as partner 2000.
