Position

Partner, head of the Jersey practice’s business and trust law group, as well as the Jersey banking team. Matthew specialises in banking, capital markets, structured finance and corporate/commercial. He acts for a number of global organisations in respect of securitisation and structured finance transactions and for UK and Jersey banks in respect of lending and security. He has extensive experience of advising financial services businesses on Jersey legal and regulatory issues and on general corporate and commercial matters.The firm: in 2008 Ogier opened new offices in Bahrain and Tokyo and launched a new service, Ogier private wealth, which offers the very highest levels of personalised wealth planning for high-net-worth individuals, family businesses and family offices. Ogier now offers legal and fiduciary services from BVI, Cayman, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey and London. Ogier has fiduciary services offices in Bahrain and Ireland, and a representative office in Tokyo.
