Position

Marc Yates heads Ogier’s corporate and commercial team. He specialises in corporate transactional and finance work, corporate restructuring and insolvency, public offerings and creating offshore structures. His clients are major international entities, law firms and other intermediaries. Recent work has included high-profile transactions involving public company equity issues, corporate restructuring and acting for clients in emerging markets, natural resources and energy sectors, listed on the London Stock Exchange, AIM, Hong Kong stock exchange and other exchanges. Marc also has a significant finance and banking practice, advising on acquisition and corporate finance structures, and all aspects of bank lending and security. In 2009 Marc acted for the first Jersey-incorporated company to list in Hong Kong (also the first Russian business to list there) and has subsequently acted for the same client in the first listing by a non Russian company of securities on the Moscow Stock Exchange. The firm: Ogier offers legal and fiduciary services from BVI, Cayman, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey and London and Marc is based in Jersey, the firm’s largest office. Ogier has fiduciary services offices in Bahrain and Ireland, and a representative office in Tokyo.
