Position

Partner, head of the Jersey practice’s business and trust law group, as well as the Jersey banking team. Matthew specialises in banking, capital markets, structured finance and corporate/commercial. He acts for a number of global organisations in respect of structured finance transactions and for UK and Jersey banks in respect of lending and security. He has extensive experience of advising financial services businesses on Jersey legal and regulatory issues and on general corporate and commercial matters. Matthew is named as a leading individual for corporate and finance in Chambers UK 2009 and for banking and finance in The Legal 500 UK 2009. The firm: Ogier offers legal and fiduciary services from BVI, Cayman, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey and London. Ogier has fiduciary services offices in Bahrain and Ireland, and a representative office in Tokyo. In 2010 Ogier established a Channel Islands practice at its Hong Kong office to offer Guernsey and Jersey legal services to clients in the Asian time zone, in addition to the BVI and Cayman services already on offer there.
