Bedell Cristin advises on Jersey's first Private Placement Fund
Bedell Cristin has acted for a leading real estate fund manager in relation to the establishment of Jersey's first Private Placement Fund.
The fund, which is the promoter's third Jersey investment vehicle, invests in European real estate, primarily smaller structured co-investments in real estate, mezzanine investments, venture capital investments in real estate related businesses and real estate securities investments to create a diversified exposure to European real estate with active asset management potential. The fund intends to provide investors with a diversified exposure to smaller European real estate assets. The fund aims to raise around £150 million.
The Bedell Cristin team was headed by partner Martin Paul and assisted by associate Heather Hiram. Commenting on the deal, Martin Paul said “we are delighted to have acted in connection with the launch of Jersey's first ever Private Placement Fund in what has proved to be a strong growth area and a successful jurisdiction for the fund's promoter.”
