Leading offshore law firm Mourant Ozannes has advised on the establishment of a new private equity fund focusing on Nordic business investments.

Led by partner Ben Robins, assisted by associate Kirsten Faichnie, the firm advised on the Jersey legal aspects of establishing the new fund, Accent Equity 2012, which is managed by a Jersey general partner and is advised by Swedish advisor, Accent Equity Partners AB. The fund raised SEK 3.33 billion at its initial closing in December 2011.

The objective of the fund is to make private equity or equity-related investments in mid-market buyouts of companies in Nordic countries, with a particular focus on Sweden.

White & Case in Stockholm and London acted as general legal counsel.
