Position
Partner with almost 20 years of high-value and complex commercial litigation experience in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts. Has had a particular interest and specialism in shipping and transport sector for the last 16 years and is recognised as one of the country’s leading experts in this area. Work includes commercial and insurance litigation and advisory and transactional support. Has been involved in much of the significant shipping litigation in Scotland in recent years, arising from representing P&I clubs and other underwriters, leading shipping firms and specialist fishing vessel insurers. Shipping work covers all aspects of contentious shipping, including ship arrest, salvage, collision, property damage, personal injury, oil pollution prosecutions, on-site investigations, cargo claims, and road haulage claims.
