Position
Partner at Bristows, a law firm specialised in advising technology clients. Head of Bristows’ regulatory department. She specialises in the bio/pharmaceutical and medical devices sectors with a particular focus on the UK and EU regulatory and competition fields. She advises on both contentious and non-contentious matters across a broad spectrum of issues arising in the conduct of a pharmaceutical or a biotechnology business (in particular those arising in the context of the life cycle management of medicinal products, including advertising and product liability). She has represented a number of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies in litigation before the European and English courts and before UK and EU institutions (EMEA and the European Commission), as well as before the PMCPA. For example, she represented Novartis before the ECJ regarding the interpretation of the Supplementary Protection Certificates Regulation. She also represented Servier Laboratories Limited before the NICE Appeal Panel and before the English court for Judicial Review on part of that decision. She also has experience in coordinating EU and overseas litigation. Educated in Switzerland, New York and London and having previously worked in New York and Brussels, she is able to offer a wide experience of EU and international (WTO and TRIPS rules).She is a solicitor, admitted to practice in England and Wales and a member of the New York Bar. Publishes extensively and frequently presents at leading conferences in the life sciences sector.
Career
Educated in Switzerland, New York and London and having previously worked in New York and Brussels, she is able to offer a wide experience of UK, EU and international law. She has been a member of the New York Bar since 1998. She is also a solicitor, admitted to practise in England and Wales. Qualified 1998 (New York) and 2003 (England and Wales).
