Position

Susan is an Associate and specialises in planning law. She is involved in the Planning team’s full offering, from drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements, advising on strategy and the planning regime generally, town and village green issues and compulsory purchase matters, through to providing highway advice.
Susan has extensive experience and whilst her planning expertise encompasses all property types, she regularly works for developers, including a number of well-known house-builders and Lidl.
Since joining Gateley Plc, Susan has been involved in numerous high-value, urgent instructions and has advised in relation to a range of complex section 106 agreements. These have often been drafted and/or negotiated within tight timeframes and have had a successful outcome, culminating in planning permission being granted and the client being in a position to comply with any contractual obligations that need to be met.

Career

Susan had a previous career as a Chartered Surveyor and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
