In 2017, Addleshaw Goddard underscored its market-leading reputation for mid-cap private equity transactions by handling a significant number of high-end mandates for some of the most active midmarket private equity houses. A three-partner team including Mike Hinchliffe, Marc Field and William James acted for ECI in its investment in a minority stake in analytics and technology company Media iQ. The firm also undertook a significant amount of work for LDC, such as its buyouts of Chargepoint and Fishawack; the key advisers on these deals were Paul Medlicott, and managing associates George Danczak, Katie Parker and Rabia Burton. The firm also excels in larger transactions (above £500m); Andrew Green and associate Ben Heywood advised Inflexion on its £800m investment in Radius Payments Solutions. It also has a strong profile acting for management teams in similar large deals. Following its merger with Scottish firm HBJ Gateley in 2017, the firm now counts on the experience of David Kirchin Murray Jack, Andrew Ley and Andrew Walker. Yunus Seedat heads up the national team, which was strengthened by the arrival of Peter Wood from Pinsent Masons LLP, and also includes Nathan Pearce and Graham Cross. Andrew Carpenter joined DWF.
