Geraldine has been advising the sector for over 15 years on a broad range of student-related issues; in particular equality, discipline, contractual matters, human right as well as charity and information law.

Geraldine has also worked in educational institutions in the UK and overseas and has a keen understanding of the context within which her advice is provided.   Clients praise her ability to make complex subjects very easy to understand and easy to apply.

Shakespeare Martineau LLP provides 'excellent service' to universities and education sector bodies encompassing advice on student-university relationship issues; governance; employment; construction; and home and international collaborations. It is advising a college on expanding into a Middle Eastern country and is advising other clients on extensive building and refurbishments of campuses. It is also assisting two education sector bodies with lobbying for changes to the Higher Education and Research Act.
