Property litigation
Position
Susan has over 25 years’ experience of litigation, more recently specialising in property and housing litigation. She is a partner in our property litigation team dealing with business lease renewals, dilapidations, possession proceedings (both commercial, agricultural and residential) rent enforcement, forfeiture, breach of covenant, boundary and title disputes as well as housing management advice, anti social behaviour injunctions and committal actions. In addition she has considerable experience of general civil litigation including professional negligence, inheritance act claims and contested probate actions. Susan has Higher Rights of Audience and regularly undertakes advocacy in the County Court as well as contributing to training seminars and newsletters.
Career
Trained Wragge & Co, qualified 1983; Needham & James from 1984-1994; partner at Wright Hassall & Co for three years and Associate at Wragge & Co before returning to Needham & James in 2004. In summer 2011, Shakespeare Putsman, Berryman and Needham & James were brought together under one unified name – Shakespeares.
