Position
Amanda Morris heads up the property litigation team at Blake Lapthorn. She practices all forms of property litigation but particularly in the field of commercial landlord and tenant, specialising in advising landlords on remedies available in cases of tenant insolvency. She can advise on forfeiture, distress, enforcement of guarantees, original/former tenant liability, contested lease renewals and dilapidations claims. Outside the area of landlord and tenant she also deals with disputes over rights of way and other easements, trespass, adverse possession, boundary disputes, claims founded in estoppel and contractual disputes concerning property including warranty claims as well as professional negligence, claims arising from property transactions. She is co-author (with Donald Agnew) of ‘Neighbourhood Disputes: A Concise Guide to the Law and Practice’, published in January 2006 by Callow, the second edition of which was published in January 2011 by Wildy, Simmonds and Hill.
