Qualified as a chartered quantity surveyor working from 1972-83 in the construction industry; practised as a chartered surveyor exclusively in construction arbitration 1983-89 (called to the Bar 1985); joined Neil F Jones 1989; re-qualified as a solicitor and became partner 1992; managing partner 1999; partner Wragge & Co 1999; publications: co-author with other partners ‘Set-Off in the Construction Industry’ and with Neil F Jones ‘The JCT Intermediate Form of Building Contract’; has lectured extensively on construction contracts and the law.
