Litigation - Property

Position

David is a Partner who has over 30 years’ experience in dealing with disputes relating to land and property. He has built up a reputation for dealing with complex residential leasehold issues, and advising clients from a wide variety of backgrounds. David has been involved with many areas of dispute relating to land and property, and has acted for large property owning companies, country estates,  local authorities, high street ‘names’,  businesses, as well as individual owners of land and property, including both landlords and tenants. Areas of particular strength:

  • Residential leaseholds
  • Commercial property and business leases
  • Disputes involving land e.g. boundaries, adverse possession
  • Rights of way
  • Covenants restricting the use of land
  • Agricultural land issues
  • Residential management advice
  •        Obtaining possession of land and property

Career

David started his legal training in 1981 with Central London firm Rabin Leacock Lipman, with whom he qualified in 1990, and stayed with them until 1996. After a few years with city firm Pullig & Co. David worked for Thomas Eggar (now part of Irwin Mitchell) for 15 years, before joining Adams & Remers.

Education

David studied for a degree in Zoology at Bedford College, University of London.  He began his legal training with Rabin Leacock Lipman qualifying as a F.Inst.L.Ex in 1989, and being admitted as a solicitor in 1990.
