Position

Elaine specialises in acting for senior executives, in particular advising on executive contracts and severances, unfair and constructive dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants (drafting and enforcement), business reorganisations and changing terms and conditions of employment. In the last year she has conducted numerous discrimination, whistleblowing, bonus and misrepresentation claims for substantial sums including multimillion pound claims. She has advised on contracts providing remuneration and incentives (with total packages ranging from six figure to eight figure sums), advised in relation to team moves, both contentious and amicable. Her clients have included main-board directors of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, as well as directors of AIM-listed and private companies. In the last 12 months, she has also advised in a wide range of sectors, including financial services, professional services, information technology, media retail, beverages, hotel and leisure, and recruitment, as well as executives engaged in private equity deals. Elaine is regarded as being ‘amongst the best individual employment lawyers in the London market’ by ‘The Insider’s Guides to Legal Services’.
