Position

Wide range of litigation on behalf of public sector clients and a number of private providers, handling personal injury and non-injury claims on their behalf. Particular specialism in social services claims and human rights related matters. Also has extensive experience of claims involving highway law, education and stress. Currently handling a number of claims in connection with private care homes. Regular speaker on public authority and related litigation. Examples of presentations include: witness training, in particular for highways and social services, highway liability, claims investigation, claims arising in an existing care setting, social services abuse and failure to remove claims, stress claims, quantum and medical evidence, costs and data protection. She is a regular speaker at local and national events, including to new housemasters and housemistresses of independent schools via IPD.

The team at Weightmans LLP  covers the entire spectrum of personal injury defendant work. David Tuck  leads the practice and specialises in occupational lung disease issues, mainly relating to asthma, allergies or asbestos exposure claims. Penelope Marshall  focuses on social services claims, which can often involve abuse or assault claims. Tim Salthouse is an expert in public and employer's liability claims, and recently defended the Motor Insurer’s Bureau against a £1,000,000 motor accident claim. Chris Webb-Jenkins' interests lie in social care and regularly works on group action cases.  Zurich Financial Services,  AIG and Ageas are key clients.
